We're back at Riff's in Swindon (UK) and so this'll be a really enjoyable gig for us. If you haven't heard of this venue it's small and cosy but it's a top notch music bar where all the best bands hang out! More details as and when...

Monday 13 October

Poland! We've landed ourselves a fantastic opportunity to make our very first DVD. This is a gig with Pendragon on the same bill, playing in the beautiful Slaski Threatre, Katowice. Not only is this a great venue to play, the video production team are top notch and this will be an outstandingly professional product. We'll be including lots of bonus back stage video and archive material and there will be an interview with the band as well. The DVD will be released towards the end of the year, in time for everyone's Christmas stocking fillers!

We're playing two gigs on consecutive nights guesting with Ritual. We first met the guys from this band at ROSFest in USA, and they play a varied mix of rock, prog and folk music. They're a lively bunch of quality musicians and the show will be guaranteed amazing.

Fresh from our USA gig we're proud to have been invited as special guests with the Watch for their Genesis Show with playing from 1970-71. They were focussing mainly on Trespas and Nursery Cryme, and what a show! Sadly, not as well attended as it ought to have been, but everyone was enthusiastic and enjoyed the two bands thoroughly. Thanks got to Huw for arranging this.

Just to get us in the mood for our forthcoming USA gig we thought we'd play one of our most friendly and local gigs, the fantastic Riff's Music Bar in Swindon (UK). We played the full 90 minute set to test run for America and in fact, it was enjoyed immensely by everyone there. Thanks guys! Also, many thanks to guest support Jo McCafferty who entertained one and all with her sublime voice and effortless acoustic playing! If you haven't already been to Riffs, this venue is a really cosy and intimate bar with a great music vibe - and they've won awards as well. Hope to see you at the next one. This was the start back into gigging for us in 2008, playing at the Peel in Kingston with the band Jebo. This gig should be marked as a momentous occasion for Credo because we actually played a new song from the forthcoming album... It doesn't have a title yet but it's tentatively called the Drug Song at the moment. Expect a few more later in the year pending the full release. The Peel is an ideal rock venue with a great atmosphere and a bar within easy reach of the stage! Certainly a good start to the season for us. More details about the venue can be found here

OK, this was our final gig on the Rhetoric tour, and it was our christmas bash at Riffs Bar in Swindon (UK) with the boys from Also Eden. They've had a bit of bad luck recently with their drummer and bass player walking out, but they deserve the highest credit for bouncing back with a fantastic acoustic set! Everyone had a good time, including the 3 air guitarists serving behind the bar. Thanks to everyone for coming along, and thanks for Andy the landlord. See you all again next year!

This was a triple bill put together by our record label F2. The line-up was Ezra, Credo then Magenta. What a cool gig it was for us, coming right at the end of our current Rhetoric tour. The venue was the utterly brilliant The Robin in Bilston (UK). Many thanks to the guys there and to F2 for putting on the gig!

This was a short notice gig and something of an unusual one because it was the absolutely final gig ever to be put on at the famous and infamous Cartoon Club in Croydon. It's a sad day when such a well established rock venue gets closed down to make way for modern development with no chance of the venue moving to another place and no sign of another venue being newly built either. Still, it was an excellently fun evening although the beer ran out half way through! Support came from Jo McCafferty who stunned us all with her fantastic blend of acoustic guitar, scottish folkey voice and hard edged lyrics. Credo played a slightly shortened set but really pulled the stops out for this one. Tim was on definitely on top form tonight with his searing guitar solos, and everyone else was close on his heals. Thanks go to Mick and Nigel for putting this gig on and generally helping us all out during the evening. So sad to see this venue go.

Well, what can you say, an "Overnight Sensation" with a combined age of over 200 years!  After first playing for the CRS back in 1994 the boys were invited for their very first Major Headline Show and what a what to bring the last few dates of the year long RHETORIC tour to a head. It was a great night, the place was very full, especially considering it was a first headline and support came from old friend Oliver Wakeman and Anemo, both of whom were well received and laid down the challenge down for the boys....

The set opened with PARTY making a return to live action for the first time in 10 years and from the "Welcome..." intro the band were on top form.  The Game, Turn The Gun and Skintrade followed before another surprise in the shape of an acoustic version of ALICIA from FIELD OF VISION, the song was spectacularly received and Jim and Martin returned to the stage for Seems like Yesterday.  A poignant Too Late followed by a storming Letter and by now the band were on fire.  A KINDNESS returned and Mark donning the balaclava again for the attack section added just the right amount of  theatre to the song.

It was the end of the set, but not the end of the night as the audience demanded a return and the boys duly responded with an excellent version of "From The Cradle To The Grave" featuring a guest appearance from a young lad in the audience on tambourine!

Again, plenty of cd's, and shirts sold and loads of new friends! Be interesting to see what happens in the next CRS Awards Poll after that show....

What a fantastic gig! This was the second ever Summer's End Festival, and it was an absolutely perfect gig all round. Credo put in a very lively show on the Saturday afternoon, sandwiched between Ezra (also on the F2 label) and White Willow (who came all the way from Oslo!). It was great to have a packed house, and many thanks go to the superb organisers for running a tight ship. Find out all the details via the festival myspace web page.

May was a bit busy, June seemed to be holiday time, but we managed to get back out for one gig on a hot summer night in July. This was a return to Riffs Bar in Swindon (UK), and we teamed up once again with Landmarq for a joint headline gig with Landmarq going on first. It would have been a nice relaxed gig except for the fact that one person from Landmarq forgot completely there was a gig!! No matter, all's well that ends well, and they remembered in time to arrive and put on a fine show. Credo gelled particularly well on this occasion, and are definitely starting to sound like a well oiled prog band machine - plenty of power there, plenty of emotion, and above all they look like they enjoy playing the music as well! Thanks to Steve for his sound mixing, and thanks to everyone who came along.

This was another combined Credo and Landmarq gig, this time at Club Riga in Southend, with Credo opening on this particular evening. The great thing about the Riga is that it has a late licence until 1pm, so there's never any need for either band to shorten their set, both Credo and Landmarq played for well over an hour. Thanks to Steve the man on sound who really knows what he's doing and makes this place such a classy sounding venue. If you haven't been to this venue before, then you should have!

A return for us to Stripes bar (Brentford FC), but a new venue for Landmarq to play. Yep, this was the first of four dual headline gigs that Credo are doing with Landmarq. Views from various people who came along are that despite a few little PA problems both bands showed off their consumate professionalism and musicianship to the full. Landmarq were first on tonight, playing songs which will be on their forthcoming album (working title 'Entertaining Angels') and are currently available on their new live DVD, Turbulence. Credo then followed up with a stonking set, and despite Tim having a serious shoulder injury, he played like the guitar god that he is!! Thanks to everyone who supported the gig, particularly Jason on the door and Tim on the PA.

This was our first gig back up in the Rotherham area for a long long time and it was great to be back. We supported Kino at the Herringthorpe Leisure Centre and we had our best gig yet this gigging season. Many thanks to Martin Hudson and the CRS for keeping faith in us for such a long time... Well, this was supposed to be a bit of a warm-up gig for our return to the CRS next week, but we've done so many gigs so far since the album release that we didn't really need a warm up, and besides, the Dove Inn, Micheldever is such a good and friendly venue it's not polite to demote it to simply a warm-up gig!! In fact this is a real and regular music pub which puts on all sorts of music from blues through prog to folk. It also pays a decent wage and attracts a fair number of punters which is more than can be said for some venues (present company excepted). So, thanks to everyone who attended this gig, we went down well though I say so myself, we certainly enjoyed it, and even the landlord bought a CD and a T-Shirt! We'll be playing this venue again before Christmas so keep an eye out if you're from around that area.

The Fleece (Bristol, UK) venue blew me away! Quite a bit's changed since I went there last time - which is more years than I care to remember. So, a headline gig for us, or in actual fact a triple billing with Crimson Sky and Darwin's Radio and us playing last. The sound was awesome one punter said, and although the place wasn't packed it's a big venue and it was actually an impressive turnout for a Thursday night, so first thanks to everyone who attended, thanks to those people who handed in flyers (which earned us all a little money) and thanks to Crimson Sky for arranging the gig and promoting like hell. Darwin's Radio opened the evening with a very solid and melodic sounding set, quite Rush-like in both vocals and arrangement. After a quick changeover, Crimson Sky got going with some great tunes covering quite a few different proggy and bluesy styles. Finally we launched ourselves onto the stage playing our shortened 42 minute set and had a great time, sound was good, we sounded good by all accounts, and I would say perhaps our best gig yet as we're now starting to gel back together as a band after such a long time of inactivity. Roll on the next gig!!

We were back at Riffs in Swindon (UK) for this one, and what a brilliant gig it was! The place was packed out and even though we say so ourselves, we we're definitely on form that night, despite the major upset of a ripped bass drum skin... Fortunately, Andy, the 'useful for everything' landlord of Riffs, lent Martin another bass drum which fitted almost perfectly and so we just managed to avoid either cancelling or travelling 2 hours to get a new skin - thanks Andy! And, not forgetting that Also Eden put in a fine peformance in the support slot, thanks to them as well. The evening was a charity fundraiser event and we think we raised somewhere around £500, so more thanks go to all those people who donated generously.

The Bierkeller in Bristol is one of the places to play in England and the sound was awesome! 3 bands on in one night is quite a tall order and this year's Progsters' Christmas Ball went down a storm with Credo opening the evening - we had a great deal of fun playing our shortened set. Next up was Also Eden playing a short set too but giving it the big performance. Finally The Oliver Wakeman Band wowed us all with some fine keyboard playing and silky vocals. Great venue, great people, great evening.

Launch gig for our new album, Rhetoric. This was at Stripes bar, Brentford Football Club. The great John Young doubled the bill as well, despite having just had a nasty bout of flu. It was a fantastic gig and we played all of the songs from the new album, with a couple of old songs.

This was a short notice gig that we arranged for Arena and ourselves (due to the demise of the Chippenham ProgSfest). The evening went fantastically well and the cosy atmosphere of Riff's Bar made everyone feel instantly at home. The gig was well attended and we played for 55 minutes, followed by a short Arena set (only 1 1/2 hours!). You can read a review here at Melo's Prog Bazzaar . Reading Progfest.  Credo, G-Mark and Jump.  This was our first gig for over 6 years, so for us it was a small warm-up slot at Reading Arts Centre, 21 South Street, Reading, RG1 4QU.  More info at www.readingrocks.co.uk.
